Plan Your Next Fall Getaway to the Hill Country!

It’s officially Fall which means cooler weather is on its way, and it’s time for a little vacation! We’ve put together a small guide to some of the fun Fall inspired events happening around the Hill Country that we think you’d love to come do while staying with us at The VBB!

Apart from waking up to a gourmet breakfast and hot coffee, you can look forward to visiting some fun places to get you into the Autumn spirit!

Sweetberry Farms Pumpkin Patch

This is such a gem to have neat our place because it has so many fun activities if you’re looking for that special Fall experience! Go through the corn maze, take photos with old trucks and more pumpkins than you can imagine, and even stuff a scarecrow! This place has it all and is the perfect place to plan your next day date!

October 6th is Marble Falls’ annual Car Show

If you’re a lover of old vehicles this festival is for you! Take a stroll through downtown to see some beautiful vintage cars and you can also shop all the cute downtown shops! Last year there were 117 antique cars, new cars, sports cars, pick-ups, hot rods, and jalopies. We’re expecting even more for this year’s car show. Time: 9 – 3.

Drive: Only 20 minutes from The VBB!

October 13th is Burnet’s big Octoberfest

There will be live music all day, wine tastings, a car show, silent auction, and much more! Live music starts at noon and you can find more information here.

October 13th is Marble Falls’ Music Fest

This is an all-day music event with music beginning at 2 pm in Johnson Park!

Drive: Only a short 20 minutes from The VBB!

October 20th is the Lake LBJ Bass Tournament

This tournament is put on by the Sunrise Beach VFD and is the perfect activity for the couple who loves to fish! Powerboats will leave from McNair Park and Kayaks will leave from East Lakeshore Park.

Drive: 5 miles away!

Explore Longhorn Caverns

Love to hike and be outdoors? Tour the cavern! Before or after your tour, hike one of their trails, picnic, or learn about the Civilian Conservation Corps and its work in Texas Entry to the park grounds is free; entry to the cavern is by paid guided tours.

Drive: 20 minutes

Hike Enchanted Rock

This is a top spot to visit in the Hill Country and with the cooler temps it will be the perfect way to spend your day! The massive pink granite dome rising above Central Texas has drawn people for thousands of years. But there’s more at Enchanted Rock State Natural Area than just the dome. The scenery, rock formations and legends are magical, too!

Drive: 40 minutes
